  Watercolour demo

After a simple sketch I wetting in the sky on some places (light/soft spots)
I make three mixes ready in my mixing wells on my palette, one with French Ultramarine en Alizarin Crimson, the other with French Ultramarine en Raw Sienna ,
and only a last solution from  Raw Sienna  and water.
Keep it loose and wash the colors gently in, at the horizon add a little more water make it lighter there!
Keep some white spots in you painting! This will make the painting more alive
The land I give a wash from Raw Umber in a variation in tone.

The trees are done with a mix from Winsor Blue and Burnt Sienna and Raw Sienna, I make various mixes of the same paint so it will be the same color tone.
The hedges I do freely with a synthetic brush!
The Fence is done with a piece of wood, I cut with a knife, something other with a point on, will do to!
I give the foreground a wash of green from Raw Sienna and Winsor Blue and go with the flow of the land.
Te distant trees are done in Light Red and French Ultramarine.

At the end I put in the different houses and the church, I give some items a second wash for shadow or to make a stronger image
The mixes are made from French Ultramarine en Light Red, And Burnt Sienna
As last I give a really big shadow a change in the foreground!
Tony van Hasselt once said as you do a shadow do it "SHADOWWWWWWW!!! "en not some  grey spot on paper!
Well Tony I hope I do your shadow? if not?
I like it still!
