Beste Edo,

Hello Edo. I was very sorry yesterday to see your notice on YouTube. Is there (or are there) special reasons why you are shutting down your YouTube channel? I love your paintings and demos. I am very sorry to see you go ๐ค.
Hi Edo.
I will miss your Utube channel. I have enjoyed learning from you. You are such a talented artist and a wonderful instructor. Although I am sad that I will not be able to watch your videos, I am sadder that you are no longer enjoying the process of making them. But you are doing the right thing by stepping back, because as an artist you must have positive energy to flame your creativity and you must let go of that which is not fulfilling. I wish you luck and and happiness, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for graciously sharing your knowledge with me.
Best regards,
Gail Check
It is with sadness I saw your YouTube post today, March 1 2020. Why some people choose to make negative comments, behind the shield of the internet, is beyond me. Just know you do make a positive difference to so many. I hope you reconsider, and perhaps turn off any comment section for the video. I just want to say thank you for the time you have created your videos, and hope you do more in the future.
Dear Edo,
I am a recent fan of yours from YouTube. Unfortunately it was a short lived period of happiness for me. I wish I discovered your channel much earlier. Literally today I was planning to draw your 'Lonely Tree'. I would enjoy myself very much and learn so many things as a novice 40 plus year old hobby painter ๐
I respect your decision to pause your channel. But I also hope that maybe you will once again share your beautiful art, teachings and gentle personality with us all. As an artist you make the world a better place by sharing your kindness on social media and creating an environment where good people can come together and connect.
Internet is an unusual environment. You will find many good natured people who truly admire you and your art. At the same time you will find jealousy, anger and people that are truly unhappy at their hearts. And there are the trolls who don't really mean what they say but get pleasure from upsetting you. All these mean people should be irrelevant to you,. Even if you can make a few good people happy that's what really matters in life! And you surely have made a lot of people happy. I know.
Maybe one day I can attend a workshop of yours in person and meet you. I have never been to Netherlands, but would love to visit it one day.
Thank you for all you have done and sharing your art with us.
Best regards.

Thanks Donald!
I could not to this in 20 minutes.
And YT says that is the maximum timespan people watch.
Mine is even 5 minutes.
This is great Edo. it would make a good workshop. Merry Christmas to you and the Mrs.
Thank you very much Peggy, I wrote this article mainly because my way to where I am today was a long way. And looking back what could I or should I have done to make it a shorter way and get better in watercolour or any other medium way sooner. So I looked at the top artists and they are one with their instruments. They don't have to think about mix or wich brush they have to chose. Just focus on the painting and they make winning art works. You know my You Tube channel, practise the simple things. paint a sketchbook full of them and you will know your medium better. regards Edo
Thank you for this post. I am a beginner in watercolor and in painting in general for that matter and I had just realized this week that I must find my own style. That I have not yet done but I now know it is certainly what I must do thanks to your post. I stumbled upon one of your videos on YouTube recently and enjoyed it very much. I have watched several of them and thanks to you and other talented artists who share their work on YouTube I keep learning. Of course I keep practicing and try not to let the frustration get me down!
Excellent and very interesting...thank you
That is very cool!
Thank you very much Halina! Painting loose is something I practised for years. so it looks loose but it is not so easy I discovered!
I like watching your painting, and I like the loose technique. Thank you Edo for sharing this.
