Groetjes Edo
Hallo Edo,
Vriendelijke groetjes A3
Hi Daniel, well its the older Arches, from 15 years back or more.
It was a smelly, and it belonged with Arches I think!
That`s why I miss it stil!
And the viewer was on the same distance as me at the time!
So obvious he must have smell the paper too!
Its just that when you paint in open air, always people passing by and want to talk when you do a wash and can`t stop!
Regards Edo
Hi Edo, what an experience! I like the smell of Arches but obviously I never had one that smelled like what you're describing! If it smelled so heavily outside in the open air that the passer-by ran away it must have been terrible!

Hello,
Long ago (2 years) I commented here and now I just come back, Edo.
Thank you for looking at my one website and your nice remark.
And thank you for sending me the link to the beautiful cat by the
85 year old artist. I am now 75 and hope to paint so well or at least so long!

Dear Edo I look forward to receiving your emails and enjoy looking at your work in particular your header watercolour the flat land and river it so reminds me of your beautiful country which My wife and I have spent many happy days cycling through. This year we will be cycling from Leeuwarden and taking the ferry to Vlieland and Terschelling. I hope to do some sketching when we are there.
Keep on painting and best wishes.

Thank you Solveig, Thomas is always a good friend to me from the first time we talked on Facebook. I wrote a article about his art in a Dutch artmagazine. And he did send me a mass of pictures and text were I could work from.
It is nice you found the norwegian translation, I hope it were a bit understandable, cause the translators are not always precise!
I am now in Denmark on visit by Mai-Britt, she owns a Painting school, on the isle of Tasinge. She admired my art, and I admired hers, so I have a short holiday with my wife in Denmark.
Thanks for your nice words
Regards Edo
Hi Edo, the translaton even vorked in Norwegian. I was lucky enough to take one of his workshops in France last year, and I learned a lot,...it was easy to follow his class and to understand what he ment,....but you know it is difficult to make a old dog like me to sit, ( something we use to say here. )
A very good teacher, that I would love to paint with again. So great to see hove you get into his painting and explain it so well,...like the good painter you are to. A great waik up for me this rainy morning.
Hi Edo and Tom,
Thanks to both of you for guiding me to this Blog - I found it through Tom's post on Facebook. It's such a treat to see a watercolourist's process - it's great to see the sketch and the tonal print. I so appreciate Tom's poetic balance of expressive painting and architectural detail! I look forward to following more of your Blogs Edo -

Thanks Tom, you are a good friend!
I appreciate your reply on my blog.
You make such wonderful art, I am really proud to post this on here!
Best regards Edo
Dear Edo,
Thank you SO much. It is very generous for you to share this painting process. But also so good that you clearly understand it so well. It is as if you were right here with me while I painted!! This makes me very happy! I also like the addition of the black and white copy. This is something I often do - and ask my classes to do - photograph your work and then look at it without color - values only. If the values don't work well - no color can save it. So I appreciate it. You're a good friend Edo -hope one day we can paint together one day! Tom.

Mooi filmpje. Wat een vrijheid neemt die man. Prachtig.
Mooi man.
Groet Edo
